Israel delenda est

Israel as a State Nation is doomed and has been from the very beginning of its inception. The UN vote of 1947 was an artificial historical fracture by which western (and former colonial) nations wanted to get rid of their guilt regarding the Shoah as much as they expected to get rid of the so-called Jewish question by legalizing the inconsiderate theocratic and racist driven dream T.Herzl conceived.

Thus, by imposing to the Arabs the existence of a Jewish state, not only did the former colonial powers discarded their burden on people who where totally stranger and unrelated with the Shoah, but they also deprived (stole) said Arabs of their lands. All Arab nations voted against the Nov.29th 1947 Partition Plan but it was imposed on them by:

United-States of America, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil,, Byelorussia, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Dominican, Equator, France, Guatemala, Haiti, Island, Libéria, Luxembourg, Pays-Bas, New-Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Ukraine, Union, SAU, USSR, Uruguay et Venezuela.

One wonders why would the Arabs accept this legal fait accompli imposed on them by countries with absolutely no links with them whatsoever, save those chained by their former colonial masters?

The State of Israel is doomed because it has no legitimate (as opposed to legal, which is next to insignificant in this regard) historical foundation and is an artificially made State created by stealing the lands of Palestinians. After not even 60 years this country has known only wars and can survive only through the American might and protection the Zionist lobby has secured in Washington. Now, immersed in an ocean of hatred how can one possibly think it will sail peacefully through the centuries to come? There will be no exception here; the titanic historical trends will always have the last word.

Now, imagine the Copts decide to have their own State right in the middle of Egypt? Or the Gypsies somewhere in Europe or even in India? What about the native Indians (they’ve been around for quite a while too and way before the white European settlers) being granted an independent territory to establish their own State in Indiana with the US being forced to accept the creation of such a State (land of freedom of religions etc.) by a majority vote in the UN with all South American countries voting in favour plus Russia and all Arab countries… And Indiana being endlessly supplied with weapons from Russia or China to counter American resistance to the fait accompli?

Favouring the end of the State of Israel, contrary to the horrified protest of Zionists pretending it’s another renewed rallying cry for Jews extermination, is just like calling to the end of North-Korea or the former GDR as political entities: There’s no question to harm the North Koreans or the eastern Germans. But to get rid of an unjust and historically illegitimate State.

Favouring the end of the State of Israel

What is complex here, Flocon, is that Israel already is a fait accompli. If the international community were to declare an end to Israel, then what would happen to those now living in that country? If we follow this line of reasoning, then Iraq should logically be divided as should many other countries. I do feel that the American Indians should be fully independent, but this will never happen. So we are left with dealing with the circumstances which are most logically apt to occur given current situations.

The old League of Nations refused independence for Palestine. Those indigenous people apparently didn't have the right to their own country. Then the new United Nations votes to create an entirely artificial country for the benefit of racist European colonialists. Another example of the double standard.

I have argued elsewhere for the one-state solution even though it too would recognize a historic injustices. For one example, hundreds of thousands of racist ex-Soviets were allowed to move to Palestine while the millions of Palestinian refugees are not allowed to go back to their homes and their homeland.

For arguments for the one-state solution:

I could put in much more, but that is good for starters.

Another point about the hypocrisy concerning Palestine recently came from Sarkozy. Not many people have analyzed his statement that he would be "intransigent with the security of Israel".

The security of Israel is not France's concern. France owes nothing to Israel. Why isn't Sarko intransigent with the security of Lebanon or Palestine, which are much more in need? There is also a large population in France of Armenian origin, but Sarko is not intransigent with the security of Armenia either, which is also in a dangerous part of the world.

What can Sarko mean? France is not going to send soldiers to attack Israel's neighbors nor planes to bomb them. It can only be political. In other words, Sarko is giving Israel a carte-blanche to continue its violent repressive occupation of the West Bank. He has renounced any role as mediator.

He made this promise addressed to less than one percent of the French population. The other 99+ are just ignored. There are certainly many times more French who support Palestinian rights than the <1% he is catering to. How many French, or Americans for that matter, give a hoot about Israel's "security"?

I have not seen any talking heads shows on tv that have dealt with this statement, but neither am I surprised.

In fact, Sarko is encouraging anti-semitism by associating French jews, almost all born in France, with a foreign country. There is also much more to be said about this double standard, but these are the essentials.

Joann,

"what would happen to those now living in that country?"

Just like what happened to Russians after the fall of the UssR: Nothing; They just had another political entity. The same with the former east Germans.

Think of Kosovo last week. Yougoslavia as we'd known it for years simply exploded because it was totally artifical, composed of people which hated each others.

Norway was part of the Swedish realm until 1904 when the Norwegians decided to have it their way.

Do you know that there's a strong separatist trend in Belgium (it probably will happen sooner or later) between the Flemish part and the francophone one?

History is full of States being created or disappearing, and then what?

Irak may be disbanded and then what? That's what the Kurds in the north want. They're not arab, they're not Muslim and they want to have nothing to do with the Sunnis and the Chiites.

As I write in the post, Israelis want the world to believe that calling for a single State for two people is a harbinger for another extermination of the Jewish people. BS!!!

The Israelis are predators on the Palestinians.

The first time I heard of Israel probably was in 1967, during the 6 day war. I knew nothing about this country but I thought, "oh my God, poor little Israelis attacked by mercyless arab thugs..."

Yeah, sure...

That's what l'habitude and lack of critical mind lead to: prejudice. And it takes a long, long time before one is able to open one's eyes and understand that what one was thinking up to now was erroneous.

And to prevent people from opening their eyes and thinking by thelmselves what better weapon than making them feel guilty? To the point that uttering the word "Jew" is next to be an admission that you're an anti-Semite and accomplice of Auschwitz...

I've had enough of that! But it took me a certin time...

ned,

"it too would recognize a historic injustices"

I agree. Yet it seems now that it's the only viable possibility. La force du fait accompli.

"Sarko is encouraging anti-semitism by associating French jews, almost all born in France, with a foreign country."

That's what Zemmour (who you dislike) said when commenting on the speech Sarko gave to the Crif a couple of weeks ago: He was talking to this assembly as if it were the Israeli ambassy and furthermore, he was giving the impression that French Jews were Israeli clones. He concluded by saying, Sarko's idea was a catastrophe.
