Aren't men stupid?

How and why Arnaud Lagardère should have learned a thing or two from Ned's counselling agency  (N.C.A inc)

Anijo,

Arnaud Lagardère is a French mogul (son of his father) who has made a fool of himself with this video which has been watched by over 1,5 million people (mainly in France of course).

He's a friend of Sarko and both seem not to know what gold diggers are. Or rather I guess they know but they don't care as long as they get hold on their purportedly coveted-by-other-males trophy.

There are some more info here or anywhere if you care to do the research.

The girl has now her page on the English wiki.

Je ne connaissais pas cette fille (belge) and I wish them well but they've been going a little too much over the top with this video.

Gold diggers and trophy hunters deserve one another.

Wise words. Or better, "well said".

Flocon, shouldn't your title be "Aren't men stupid ?" ?

Reminds me of an old souvenir. When I was a your teenager, one day at home, someone put something (I can't remember what that was) on the fridge where I thought it had nothing to do. So I asked "who's is the moron, the jackass who put that thing there ?"
"Me." said my father.

Ned's Counseling Agency did not take into account money. That can be a great motive for both men and women.

Take the example of Bettancourt and Barnier. Well played by the latter. But men are stupid when they believe women. Well mostly. Have you ever heard women discussing among themselves?

ZapPow,

"@ Anijo

What else would you expect from a neo-Kantian pondering on the frontier with Mexico?

Here's another wise word from the master himself :

ZapPow,

j'ai corrigé le titre selon ton conseil mais il me semblait que le "so" put emphasis upon the "stupid" part.

Men are so stupid! Aren't men so stupid?

Also, I've since long remarked how more easily men make fun of themselves than women do. But maybe am I a lost case for weemen...

On comprend pourquoi...

Flocon a dit…

Ned,

"Have you ever heard women discussing among themselves?"

Errr... No, we're not allowed to :-( But I've been told it isn't pretty and even horrific at times!

Flocon a dit…

Christine,

This morning on France Info, I have heard over and again the supposed benefits of the "méthode Coué", a form of the power of positive thinking to improve your life. No critics where presented.

Both men and women are susceptible to this message. But not to worry, there is a cure for this delusion and maybe it will lessen your misery that was revealed in earlier posts.

Barbara Ehrenreich has written a book How Positive thinking fooled America and the World

Goldiggers probably do better than trophy hunters.

Flocon a dit…

Ned,

Homais is the name of a pharmacist in Gustave Flaubert's most famous novel, "Madame Bovary")

Flocon,

Merci pour l'explication.

Flocon a dit…

Monsieur Homais in English.

So anyway he did the Mea Culpa.
