Le "recent comments" gadget est toujours indisponible, another evidence that the guys behing Blogger don't really care.

Anijo was on her way to stardom here... (down the page though)

Yeah, I miss the recent comments gadget, but I'm used to just looking up recent threads and checking out the 'espace détente' and 'actualités'.

I enjoy the sound of aircraft overhead. I hear it all the time here where I live. Mixed in with the sound of distant traffic, the occasional sound of a distant train, the wind blowing through the trees, and the sound of birds, it is like some kind of ambient music.

When I was living in Richmond, West of London, the house I was in was situated exactly, and I mean exactly, under the main landing path to Heathrow.

About every three minutes or so I could see a jet preparing for landing and opening the space of the undercarriage and actually seeing the wheels just some 100 feet above my head, and this was absolutely fa-sci-na-ting!

And the noise wasn't a problem because the planes weren't taking off.

And then I would think about human solidarity in the world...

I was 32 by then... what have I done with my 30s? Sniff...

Flocon,

You were only waiting for this moment to be free...

I used to enjoy flying with The Jefferson Airplane

Another view of flying is the book by Erica Jong

If you prefer trains This is one of best known songs.

BTW, many people mistake Bob Dylan's Highway 61 with the more famous Highway 66. However Highway 61 was the road that led from Dylan's home area in Minnesota down to New Orleans.

Anijo,

"You were only waiting for this moment to be free..."

It didn't occur to me to associate this line with that experience in London but you cannot possibly imagine how f. right you are with that observation!

I've known for a long time now that you possess super natural powers close to those of a telepath Anijo!

Ned,

I had no idea the vocalist of the Jefferson Airplane was such a sex bomb! Ouch! (though some changes seem to have happened since 1968...)

Also, what a tremendous voice she has.

So I've done a quick research and found that she's also an artist (#4].

This picture I swear I have seen over 1000 times in the 70s, like it must have been a LP cover or something. I'm not much impressed by this piece of art though...

Those by Jim Morrison and David Bowie are much more fascinating and the one by McCartney exuds with anxiety.

J'ai entendu parler d'Erica Jong dès les années 70 mais tout cela était à cent lieux from the world I was living in alas...

Mick speaks French an an Americain girl (I guess) is all shook up with him:

"OHMYFUCK HE SPEAKS FRENCH TOO?!!! SO SO SO PERFECT SO SO SO SEXY MICK MICK MICK MICK"

Speaking French wouldn't be a plus for a British girl...
